In recent years, optical cable monitoring systems have been widely used in the maintenance of optical communication networks and fiber optic sensing. With the application of DCI equipment and DWDM systems, OTDR modules have been widely used in optical cable monitoring, fault location, and fiber optic link performance analysis. The OTC2600 OTDR module, with its built-in two optical switches, provides a compact, robust, high-cost-performance, and high-performance card-type OTDR solution for optical cable monitoring, DCI, and DWDM systems.
The module is designed as an industrial product, fully meeting the application requirements of optical cable monitoring systems that operate 24/7. Meanwhile, the OTC2600 OTDR can maintain stability within a working temperature range of -5°C to 55°C, ensuring the accuracy of tests in different working environments for optical cable monitoring systems.
Module Highlights
The built-in optical switch is compact in size.
The module is equipped with 2 optical switches, with dimensions of 150*125*19mm. It is suitable for applications with limited space and size requirements, such as optical cable monitoring systems or DCI, DWDM equipment, where continuous service is essential.
High performance
The OTDR module has a dynamic range of up to 43dB, with an event blind zone of 1 meter and an attenuation blind zone of 5 meters. It features a sampling interval of 12.5cm and up to 128,000 sampling points to ensure high-precision testing of fiber optic links.
Fast response
It supports real-time testing mode and scheduled testing mode. It can refresh and display OTDR test results at a high speed of 300ms, and has the capability to quickly display optical cable results.
High transmission rate
The OTC2600 module can complete high-precision testing of fiber optic links within 5 seconds. It supports rapid download of card-type OTDR test configurations and quick upload of test results, making optical cable measurement and monitoring easier.
Communication methods
The module supports two communication modes: 10/100M RJ45 Ethernet interface and RS-232 interface (TTL level). The OTDR module is equipped with a complete set of control commands for viewing and reading test results, making it easy to match with equipment. OPWILL also provides OTDR offline analysis software for PCs to control the OTDR module, facilitating control and debugging of the OTDR module during equipment system development.
